Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Treating erectile dysfunction, or “impotence,” is a specialty of Austin Clinic for Men. Our success rate in treating erectile dysfunction and helping to restore performance and satisfaction is over 98%.
ED is one of the most common issues facing men of all ages. More than 33 million men in the U.S. today suffer from ED. Erectile Dysfunction occurs when a man finds it difficult or impossible to get and keep an erection long enough for sexual activity.
Specifically, as many as 39% percent of 40-year-old men and 50-65% percent of 65-year-old men suffer from long-term ED. After the age of 70, most men experience some form of erectile dysfunction. Men who are diabetics typically experience ED before they reach their senior years. ED occurs primarily because of a lack of blood flow to the penis.
ED can occur because of both physical and mental conditions and irregularities. Common physical causes include:
- High blood pressure
- Heart disease
- Prostate problems
- Low testosterone
Behaviors and mental contributors may include:
- Performance anxiety
Some prescription medications commonly used to lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels may also contribute to ED.
You are not alone; you are simply one of the many males in your demographic that is experiencing ED. The upside is that you no longer have to live with ED as a side effect of ageing. Erectile dysfunction is a recognized medical condition. At Austin Clinic for Men, we have the solution!
We often see the impact of ED on our patients’ relationships and self-esteem at their first consultation. We aim to tailor a solution to fit your needs.
Some ED medications can interfere with those used to treat blood pressure and/or have dangerous side effects. Additionally, once the body develops a tolerance, this dosage may need to be increased to maintain treatment.
At Austin Clinic for Men, we evaluate every patient individually to customize a treatment plan. You will undergo a consultation in a comfortable, private room with an experienced medical provider at your first ED appointment. We always maintain discretion and complete confidentiality when treating patients at our Austin facility. We also take your medical history, perform a physical examination and order labs and a Doppler ultrasound (to measure genital blood flow) during our first meeting. You can also expect to receive a sample dose of medication during your initial visit.
We guarantee we will be able to medically induce an erection during your first appointment or the cost of your consultation, lab work and sample medications are on us!
